Engage and Personalise · Segments
Decide who sees what.
Build a segment from what visitors do, such as returning customers with a basket over £50, or first-time visitors from a social ad. Then show it its own message, banner or recommendations. Visitors join a segment as they browse, so the next page they see already fits.
What you can build from
Dozens of conditions, in six families.
| Based on | Conditions |
|---|---|
| What they browse | Products, categories and brands viewed or not, pages and landing pages by URL, how many pages they have seen, and what they searched for. |
| What is in the basket | Products in or not in the basket, basket value and item count, whether free delivery is reached, how much is left to spend, and abandoned baskets. |
| What they have bought | Products bought or not, how recently and how often they order, total spend and average order value. |
| How they arrived | First, second or returning visit, how often they visit, UTM tags, and whether they came from an ad, an email, a search engine or a social network. |
| Where and when | Device, the country or city they are browsing from, their local time of day, their weather, and the day or month in your time zone. |
| Who they are | Customer country, city or state, age and gender, any field in your customer feed, and their answers to questions in your on-site messages. |
How segments work
And, or
Combine rules with AND inside a condition, and add OR conditions for other ways in. A visitor joins when every rule in any one condition is true.
One segment, everywhere
Use the same segment for on-site messages, personalised content and recommendations, so a VIP sees a consistent store.
See who it reaches
Each segment shows the share of visits it matched over the last seven days on the pages where it runs, and how many campaigns use it.
